Recently it happened more than once that the well known free antivirus AVG, updated to the lastest version, was not able to detect really lethal viruses (they completely affected my pcs, I had to format) on my computers. On the other hand they were immediatly neutralized by avast (Home Edition, free).

Panda is a new generation Anti-Virus. It really comes from the cloud:

It got #1 in PC World Comparative, but still it has not been considered by the most famous av comarative test. Actually I’m testing it, and it seems very good (previously I had AVG and avast)… More to come!

Yesterday I put Windows 7 on my laptop. The first application I installed afterwards was Firefox, so that i didn’t have to use Internet Explorer to download all of my geeky softwares. The second one to be installed was Free Download Manager, so that I could download them at a reasonable speed.
